Deep Creek Battle reenactment

A couple years ago, I worked on a documentary that told the story of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and their wars of 1848 with Colonel George Wright and Colonel Steptoe. I planned principle photography around this reenactment that the Washington Civil War Association puts on every year in May. For information on seeing it live for yourself go here.

I filmed just the North, as that was going to be my military for the documentary. The uniforms aren’t an exact match for the 1848 era, but they were as close as I was going to get without a wardrobe department. This video is a highlight reel of footage captured during the event. If you are in the Spokane area, it is definitely worth a trip.
